Simulation
Farmstead Haven
★★★★☆ 4.1
Farmstead Haven is comfort food in game form. You inherit a run-down plot, clear it, plant crops, and slowly build a little homestead across changing seasons. The loop of planting, tending, and selling at the weekly market is simple but weirdly addictive.
What lifts it is the town around you. Neighbors have their own routines and small story arcs, and helping them out opens up new recipes, animals, and buildings. It never demands you check in at specific times, which I appreciated.
It's not a deep sim, and veterans of the genre might want more systems. But as a relaxed game to chip away at over weeks, it does its job nicely and never nags you to hurry.
What we liked
- Relaxed, no-pressure pacing
- Charming townsfolk with small stories
- Seasons that change what you do
